This renovation required a complete strip-out of all walls and ceilings throughout the living areas. Years of wear and tear had left the surfaces flaking, patchy, and structurally unsound for decorating. Our client’s goal was to restore the rooms to a high-quality finish suitable for modern living, with neutral tones and crisp detailing throughout.
Our first step was a full strip of all paint and wallpaper from every wall and ceiling. This exposed extensive surface damage and uneven plasterwork that required thorough preparation. We also stripped all woodwork, including skirtings, door frames, and cornices, back to bare material to ensure a consistent base for repainting.
Next, we applied high-performance sealers to stabilise the walls, followed by detailed filling and sanding. This stage was crucial to achieve a flawless finish once the painting began.
With a smooth base in place, we moved on to the painting and decorating phase. The walls were finished in elegant, soft grey tones, while the ceilings were returned to a clean, brilliant white. All woodwork was repainted in bright, sharp white to provide a fresh contrast and accentuate the detailing around windows, doors, and the fireplace.
The difference is night and day. What began as a neglected interior is now a stylish, contemporary space that feels bright, fresh, and welcoming. Crisp lines, even surfaces, and clean colour schemes have restored both visual appeal and comfort to the home.
